Journiez Knowledge Base
Last updated 11 October 2026
Use this guide to go from first visit to a confirmed event registration, or from a new organizer account to a published event. Journiez brings event discovery, communities, attendee registration, and organizer tools together in one place.
What each side gets from Journiez
For attendees
- Browse public event details before subscribing and search experiences by city, activity, or date.
- Save interesting events, compare ticket options, and keep registrations and updates in one dashboard.
- Pay event organizers directly, submit a transaction reference for verification, and see the resulting registration status.
- Join event discussions, meet communities through groups, and opt in to profile discovery, follow requests, and chat.
- Rate eligible events after they end when your registration is confirmed, and earn referral commission on eligible paid subscriptions.
For organizers
- Publish an organizer profile and event pages with schedules, locations, formats, capacity, and ticket prices.
- Receive attendee payments directly to your UPI account, then review transaction references and manage registrations from your dashboard.
- Use groups, discussions, social profile links, and event ratings to build trust and keep an audience connected.
- Track upcoming and completed events, share referral links, and earn commission on eligible paid referred subscriptions.
Start with the right account
You can browse public events without signing in. Create an attendee account to register and take part as an attendee, or an organizer account to publish and manage events. Verify the email address on your account before using gated features.
Sign in through Attendee sign in or Organizer sign in. If you use the wrong account type, sign out and choose the matching sign-in page.
Plans, access, and cancellation
Current prices and plan details are listed on the Plans page; review the checkout screen before you pay. An active attendee subscription or Founding Pass is required to register, pay an organizer, or join event discussions. An active organizer subscription or Founding Pass is required to publish events. Profile discovery, follow requests, chat, and referral-link access also require an active paid subscription or Founding Pass.
You may cancel a subscription at any time in the subscription section of your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewal; your access usually continues until the paid-through date shown there. A cancelled subscription cannot be reactivated. When access ends, return to Plans and subscribe again to continue. A cancellation before the billing cycle starts may take effect immediately. A Founding Pass lasts for the term shown in your account and does not renew automatically.
When an organizer subscription or Founding Pass expires, the organizer can no longer keep event listings publicly available through that access. Start or renew the organizer plan to restore publishing access.
Attendee journey: discover, register, and attend
- Find an event. Open Explore events. Search by event title and browse by activity, city, or date. Use the event page to check the organizer, schedule, venue or online details, availability, age requirements, price, ticket options, and cancellation terms.
- Save or continue. Sign in and use the wishlist control if you want to come back later. Your saved items are on Wishlist.
- Register. Sign in with a verified attendee account and ensure your attendee plan or Founding Pass is active. Choose the ticket type and quantity offered for the event, then submit the registration form.
- Pay the organizer, if required. For paid events, follow the event’s UPI instructions and pay the organizer directly. Enter the transaction reference (UTR) requested by the registration flow. For a free event, follow the on-screen registration steps without making a payment.
- Watch your status. Paid registrations remain pending while the organizer checks the transaction reference. See My registrations and Journiez notifications for updates. Contact the organizer if you need help with a pending payment or registration.
- Share feedback. After the event ends, confirmed attendees can leave a rating and comment on the event. These ratings help future attendees make informed choices.
Organizer journey: set up and publish
- Create and verify your organizer account. Use Organizer sign up and verify the registered email address.
- Complete your workspace. In the Organizer dashboard, enter your organization name and add a logo. Add a description, website, support contact, or social profile links to help attendees recognize you.
- Choose an active organizer plan. An active organizer subscription or Founding Pass is needed to publish events and keep them publicly available. Review the current plan terms on Plans.
- Set up payments for paid events. Add a valid UPI ID and matching payee name in your payment profile. This is required before paid registrations can open. Event payments go directly to the UPI destination displayed to the attendee; Journiez does not hold the funds.
- Create the event. Go to List an event. Add a clear title and description, category, event dates and times, venue or online format, capacity, ticket types and prices, and your cancellation policy. Check the preview and open registrations when the details and payment profile are ready.
- Manage your event. Open Registrations or My Events. Review ticket details and the submitted UTR, then confirm or reject registrations. Keep the event page current and use its cancellation controls if plans change.
- Support attendees after a change. Notify attendees promptly if you update or cancel an event. For a cancelled event, paid attendees can check refund status in My registrations; you remain responsible for any refund owed on funds paid directly to you under your stated terms and applicable law.
Event payments and refunds
Journiez subscription payments are processed through Razorpay. Event registration payments are separate: attendees pay the organizer directly using the destination shown for that event. Journiez does not receive or hold ticket funds and cannot reverse a UPI transfer to an organizer.
Before paying, save your receipt and transaction reference and read the event’s cancellation terms. If you need to cancel your attendance, contact the organizer promptly. If the organizer cancels, check the refund status in My registrations and contact the organizer about the payment return. For more detail, read Event Cancellations & Refunds and Subscriptions & Payments.
Groups and connections
Browse Groups by interest to find a community. Depending on the group, members can see discussions and group events. Organizers can create groups to keep an audience engaged between events.
Member profiles are private by default. If you opt in to discovery, other eligible members may find your basic profile. Follow requests and chat require active subscriber or Founding Pass access and the recipient’s acceptance where requested. Manage your profile choices in your dashboard and review the Privacy & Data Notice.
Referrals and payouts
While you have an active paid subscription or Founding Pass, the referral programme can pay 9% of the amount Razorpay actually captures for eligible paid subscriptions and renewals made by people who joined through your link. Only captured INR subscription payments qualify. There is no commission for signup alone, a Founding Pass, or an event payment. Canceling or allowing your subscription to expire does not forfeit commission already earned. You can request payout after cancellation once your eligible payable balance is at least ₹200, up to your available balance; a current subscription is not required.
Save a valid UPI ID in your referral account. Allow 7–10 working days for payout completion. Automated RazorpayX payouts may arrive sooner; exact credit timing depends on RazorpayX and the recipient bank. Requests are scheduled after a 12-hour hold, with automated submission targeted within 48 hours. Review the full Referral & Payout Terms before requesting payment.
